Our FISCAL Future/Gov NL
Our FISCAL Future… Join the Conversation

Newfoundland and Labrador is facing a difficult fiscal situation that continues to change with the price of oil and other economic pressures. The magnitude of this problem will be addressed through short, medium and long-term measures. Decisive actions will be implemented with Budget 2016, followed by medium-term actions throughout the course of the year, and longer-term actions in Budget 2017.

Recognizing this serious fiscal challenge, government has launched the Government Renewal Initiative. Throughout this initiative, as the Provincial Government moves toward reshaping the province’s fiscal future, working with all residents, as well as business, labour and community groups will be vital to tackling this situation. All Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are encouraged to get involved, join the conversation and share your ideas.
