Come See What's New

Ozark Folk Center State Park Craft Village Opens March 29

There's lots of new faces and many old friends in the Ozark Folk Center Craft Village this spring. The crafts people have spent this winter working on new projects and creating beautiful new items.
We're beginning this season with a groundhog kiln wood firing behind the Pottery Shop. Join us throughout the week for the various stages of the firing. The kiln opening celebration is Saturday, April 2.
Check out the new counter installation in the Stained Glass Shop and learn about Farmcrafting in the Wood Shop. You'll find the Broom Shop where the Basket Shop was and meet our new basket maker, Melody Conatser in her sunny new shop.
Starting Tuesday, March 29, the Homespun Gift Shop, General Store and the Craft Village will be open Tuesday- Saturday. The Village is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Regular admission to the Craft Village is $12 for adults and $7 for children 6 to 12. Children under 6 are free. A season pass is just $75 for adults and $35 for children. This pass gives you admission to the Village and evening concerts, including the more than 25 featured concerts this year.

Show #13, debuts April 1 and features Dave Branscum
Unkle Dave was born and raised in the cotton fields of the Arkansas Delta. A working man most of his life, Dave had always dreamed of moving to the Ozarks to enjoy a simple life where he could play music and enjoy all the region has to offer. Good thing all that happened because Dave is now a regular performer at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. Equally adept on guitar and claw-hammer banjo, Dave possesses a natural feel in his playing and singing unique to the Ozark region.
Listen to him on the show, and then come visit with him in person in the park.
