Diversity Inc.: EEOC Files First-Ever Sexual Orientation Discrimination Lawsuits
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed the first discrimination lawsuits on behalf of LGBT employees. Only 19 states have laws protecting them. The EEOC has garnered $6.5 million over the past 3 years in monetary relief for workers who filed discrimination complaints, persuading companies to change their policies.

Wall Street Journal: What’s Holding Back Women in Tech?
Dr. Caroline Simard, Exponential Talent’s co-founder and Senior Research Director for the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford, tells the Wall Street Journal about the isolation and loneliness for women in tech. “When you’re the only woman in the room, such as in a top leadership position in a tech company, that feeling of isolation on a day-to-day basis can be difficult,” Simard said.
The Economist: The Global Glass-Ceiling Index
The Economist created an interactive graphic showing globally where women have the best chances of equal treatment at work. It combines data on higher education, labor force participation, pay, childcare costs, maternity rights, business school applications and representation in senior jobs.

According to Gallup, 32% of employees in the US are engaged. Successful engagement strategies take validated scientific approaches to measuring engagement and conduct on-going disciplined methods to achieve it.
