European Commission Call for Proposals - Support to Refugee Integration Projects

Following the arrival of an extraordinary number of refugees, the Creative Europe programme invites proposals for high quality European cultural, audio-visual and cross-sectorial projects dedicated to help the integration of refugees and foster intercultural dialogue. The European Commission is seeking to select a small number of high quality consortia, formed by bodies working in the creative and cultural sectors that will create and test initiatives designed to support the integration of refugees in the participating countries and share their results. Projects supported will have a maximum duration of 24 months. The minimum grant that will be awarded is €100,000 (up to 80% of eligible costs) and the maximum grant that will be awarded is €200,000 (up to 80% of eligible costs). The lead applicant must be a company, association or organisation active in the cultural and creative sectors. The partnership may also include organisations which are not active in the cultural and creative sectors but which nonetheless will actively participate in the aims pursued. The partners must be active in the public, social, healthcare or educational fields or any other sector that could support the social and cultural integration of refugees and/or generate inter-cultural dialogue. The closing date for applications is 12 noon (Brussels time) on the 28th April 2016.

The Rank Foundation – Small Appeals Programme

For UK registered charities and recognised churches which are raising money for projects where the total cost is less than £1million. If you are raising money for a particular project for which the mainstay is capital costs (building work, refurbishment or the purchase of long-term equipment) or a one-off short term activity (such as an annual respite break or holiday for disadvantaged young people) and have already raised a third of the total costs, you may be eligible for this.

Tesco Community Groups: Apply for a Bags of Help grant

“We will award grants each year in around 400 Tesco regions to make sure the funding is spread evenly across England, Wales and Scotland*. In total the Bags of Help programme will support thousands of projects each year.

Because we're expecting there to be a major demand for grants, Groundwork will assess all of the applications received and then provide a shortlist of the applications received for a Tesco Shortlisting panel to agree three successful projects to forward to a vote in Tesco stores.

Tesco customers will vote over two weekends in their store for their favourite shortlisted local project.  Grants will then be awarded as follows:

1st place in Tesco customer vote:  £12,000 grant
2nd place in Tesco customer vote: £10,000 grant
3rd place in Tesco customer vote:  £8,000 grant

Ragdoll Foundation Open Grants Scheme

The Ragdoll Foundation's Open Grant scheme supports not for profit organisations working with children and young people using the arts and creative media. Grants of up to £50k are available but the majority of grants awarded are likely to be in the region of £5k to £30k and cover between 25% and 80% of total costs. Organisations can apply for both one-off short-term projects and for projects lasting up to three years. Preference will be given to those projects which have a deep commitment to listening to children and allow the perceptions and feelings of children themselves to be better understood. The Foundations is mainly interested in applications that involve children during their early years, but appropriate projects for older children (up to 18 years) will also be considered. Whilst the Foundation will fund work in and around London, they will prioritise projects taking place elsewhere in the UK. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
