Maundy Thursday Agape Meal
Thursday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m.

By candlelight among friends, we sit under the Tiffany mosaic of the Last Supper and eat Mediterranean foods, drink sparkling water and wine, and read the stories of Jesus with his disciples. A time to feed and be fed.

Gospel Survey: Starting This Sunday!

It’s darned near impossible to avoid references to the Christian Gospels in everyday life. Their importance in our culture cannot be denied. If you’d like to gain a deeper understanding of the synoptic gospels, their origins and what they may have meant in the time and place they were written, please join Doreion Colter in this new Religious Education for All offering, starting this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Volunteer Office. 
Women's Drumming Circle

Come join us for the next Women's Drumming Circle at 7 p.m. Saturday April 9th in the Parish Hall, 1 West Hamilton Street, Baltimore. All levels of experience are invited with a special welcome to beginners. Basic drumming techniques will be demonstrated.

Help First U Communicate Better
 
Our online presence needs a good review and some updates. And so the board of trustees is creating a workgroup to tackle this project. This is not a big time commitment! During a handful of meetings, we’ll discuss our current online presence, make decisions about how to improve and take on short-term tasks for getting the work done.

Our Change for Change partner for March & April

Our Change for Change partner for March and April is Viva House, the Catholic Worker house on Mount Street in West Baltimore.

Following in the tradition created in New York City by Perter Maurin and Dorothy Day in the early twentieth century, Willa Bickham and Brendan Walsh have been activists and organizers at Viva House in west Baltimore for over forty-five years.

Here's how to submit your items to Happenings, the church calendar and Sunday announcements. Any special formatting will be changed to fit the current format standards in place.

1. CALENDAR ONLY: Click here to complete the online form. (Allow 48 hours for your event to be approved and added to the calendar.)

2. HAPPENINGS: Submit your announcements by emailing office@firstunitarian.net, by noon each Tuesday.

3. SUNDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS ONLY: For announcements that you want in the Sunday Order of Service, please email office@firstunitarian.net by 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
