Evidence-Based Reading Course Enhancement Module Now Available

Many of our technical assistance (TA) recipients have been anticipating the release of this new Course Enhancement Module (CEM). CEMs are resources for educator preparation programs and professional development (PD) providers to develop or reform programs with evidence-based practices (EBPs). CEMs can be used in full or in part to supplement educator development in a variety of areas.

Webinar: CEEDAR State Partners Share Experiences and Lessons Learned in the CAEP Review Process

Please join us for a follow-up webinar on the accreditation process. In March, we offered a webinar with the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). This upcoming webinar will dive deeper and will feature higher-education administrators from two of our intensive TA partner states (Colorado and Montana). 

Valerie Martin Conley (Dean, College of Education, University of Colorado Colorado Springs) and Jayne Downey (Education Department Head, Montana State University) will share lessons learned in the accreditation process and will discuss contextualizing the need to meet the standards.  Also, Jenny DeMonte (CEEDAR/American Institutes for Research) will share CEEDAR resources for facilitating the accreditation process.

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) is accepting proposals and applications for proposal reviewers for the 69th annual meeting (March 2-4, 2017 in Tampa, FL).

The Center on Great Teachers & Leaders (GTL) has new resources available, including Looking Outside Educational What School Leaders Can Learn About Professional Learning From Other Industries.

CAEP is soliciting stakeholder feedback on the proposed K-6 Elementary Standards. If you would like to provide input, please visit the CAEP website.
