 Spring Term Issue 2
As you will see from the long list of news stories below, this term has been an incredibly busy one with plenty of successes to celebrate.

Two mass participation House events always dominate the Spring term and House Music and House Sevens and Netball have been no exception this year. I greatly enjoy these whole school events which see pupils from each end of the age spectrum joining together to create a truly memorable occasion.

In addition we have seen Charities Week resurrected with tremendous effect; not only did our Charities Committee raise well over £5,000 for their choice of good causes but they also created a wonderful atmosphere around school with pupils and staff alike combining to enjoy a week of fun, music and of course the ever important cake eating.

This term has also seen the offers made to our prospective Year 7 pupils for September and I was delighted to see the effect our new admissions policy has already achieved in enabling us to double the number of boys from the catchment area who have been offered places. As our links grow with the local primary schools and with the community, we are looking forward to this number increasing further in the coming years.

I wish you and your families a restful Easter break and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 11th April.

Gary Hickey

Headmaster
