Assistant Prosecutor Named Public Health Guardian Award Winner
3/17/16 LICKING COUNTY, OHIO – The Licking County Board of Health has named Licking County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Austin Lecklider as the recipient of the 2015 Public Health Guardian Award. The award recognizes an individual, agency or program that has made a significant contribution to the promotion and protection of public health in Licking County.
“Austin has always gone above and beyond to provide us with high quality legal advice and is always responsive to any requests we make.” said Joe Ebel, Licking County Health Commissioner. “His role in protecting public health in the county is one that is often overlooked, but his continued dedication to helping us fulfill our duties has had a positive impact on public health in Licking County.”
Mr. Lecklider is responsible for providing legal counsel to the Health Department regarding a variety of matters. He offers assistance to the department through the prosecution of public health nuisance cases, reviewing contractual agreements, and proving legal opinions to the Health Department.
