As spring begins to unfold, bringing with it new signs of life, so too our lives are welcoming new life. My husband and I, and our two year old son, will soon be welcoming a new little life all together. Yes, Baby Boy Johnson #2 is to be making his debut any day now! I am feeling oh so eager to meet him and subsequently also terribly eager to be able to get back in the saddle! Missing out on the lusciousness that is spring riding is simply intolerable!
I also write to you with some other grand news, which I have been alluding to for a few months, but can now make the announcement official! This summer, Mountain Rose Horsemanship will be on the move again, but this time to a ranch of our very own. YEEEEHAAWW!!!!
After 5 years in Omaha my husband's contract is coming to an end and in July we will be relocating to the sweet, small town of Kearney, NE. If you had told me years ago that this Colorado-born-and-raised girl would be living in Nebraska, much less staying in Nebraska, much less heading to small town Nebraska, I would have said you were crazy. But sure enough, over these 5 years we have come to really fall for the mid-west people and way of life and are feeling oh-so ready to soon enjoy the sweet and simple way of life represented in Kearney. The opportunities available there to my husband and our growing family are unprecedented, not to mention that it has provided me with the awesome ability to step into a top-notch training facility of my own!
Beginning in 2017 this ranch will become the home to what has been my vision for the past decade, the Wholeness Through Horsemanship Center, allowing me to even further expand on my intentions and passion for supporting people and horses in the pursuit of individual wholeness and ultimate partnership!
You will surely hear more updates to come in the nearing months (and beyond!), but for now, know that the ranch is big, it is beautiful, and it will ensure a fine future in my ability to continue to serve and support horse enthusiasts of all kinds in their quest for horsemanship education.
As for this coming year, I am looking forward to another terrific season on the
Western Dressage circuit for myself and the clients of MRH alike. There is a great line-up of Western Dressage focused events planned throughout the year to support you and your horse in your growth and goals together, whether that be in or out of the show ring. So, do be sure to check out the Upcoming Events section below as well as the
MRH Calendar for full details on these events.
I wish you and your horse some fine re-connecting time this spring and I sincerely hope you will join us for one of our upcoming events!
Sincerely,
Emily
