Baseball for All at AIPAC

Fadi Abu Swees and Niv Eitan never thought that learning baseball would put them in front of an audience of thousands. But these two sixth-graders from Israel weren't in a baseball stadium. They were speaking at the Verizon Center in Washington DC, in front of 18,000 delegates at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference last Monday.

The boys, along with Peter Kurz and Nate Fish of the Israel Association of Baseball (IAB), were on stage to present a film about Baseball Le'Kulam, or Baseball for All. This program - a partnership between Play Global and IAB - brings Arab Israeli and Jewish Israeli kids together through baseball. Click on the image below to watch this short and inspirational film.

Baseball for All 2016 leads off on May 5th-6th.

Hoops for Play Global!

Play Global was the official charity of the recent German International Schools' boys basketball tournament. Teams played for a total of 1500 points across all games. If they could reach the goal, Play Global would receive a generous donation.

Not only did the competing teams reach their goal, but busted through it to reach 1900 points tournament-wide!

Play Global was awarded 265 euros ($298) from the host International School Hannover Region athletic department.

April 6th is the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

The name is long but the message is simple: Celebrating the power of sports to change peoples' lives.
