Conference Registration is Open!

Tickets are now available for GWL's 2016 conference, Access to A Healthier World: Sustaining Women, Communities, and Our Future. The conference will take place on Friday, April 15th from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, followed by a reception at the Carnegie Institution for Science from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. 2016 Conference Sneak Peak: Conversations with Leith Greenslade and Emmanuel D'Harcourt

Excited to learn more about the 2016 GWL Conference Access to a Healthier World on April 15? We've interviewed two of our panelists to learn more about what drove them to careers focused on improving women's access to health services and what advice they'd give aspiring women leaders. This week, we've highlighted Leith Greenslade, leader of JustActions, and Emmanuel D'Harcourt, Senior Health Director at the International Rescue Committee. Leith will speak on the conference's Tools for Empowerment panel, and Emmanuel will speak on the Transcending Boundaries panel.

Sign up for Tuesday's Coffee Chat with Capt. Lindsay Rodman, White House Fellow

Join GWL for a security-focused coffee chat this Tuesday, where 10 students will have the chance to engage Captain Lindsay L. Rodman, USMC in conversation. Captain Rodman currently serves as Deputy Legal Counsel in the Office of the Legal Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  Her portfolio includes military justice, “health of the force”, Leahy law and space law issues.  She is also qualified as a Foreign Area Officer for Latin America. Captain Rodman is on detail from Headquarters Marine Corps.  She has a B.A. in Mathematics from Duke, a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law, and a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government.

Women, Peace & Security Summer Internship with UN Women
The Peace and Security Section leads on UN system-wide coordination on Women, Peace and Security, provides technical and financial support to the peace and security work of UN Women field offices. Deadline: March 25. (More information)

United Nations Association of New York Summer Scholar Fellowship in Senegal
The Summer Scholars program in Dakar, Senegal is one of two fellowships awarded in 2016 by the United Nations Association of New York. The three-month summer fellowship in collaboration with Plan International is focused on Sponsorship Programs and Communications, which will support Plan Senegal's outreach to Senegalese communities, especially in the core areas of education and teacher training, child and maternal health care, and women's opportunities for employment.
