Horizon Maintenance Facility Study
Greenbusch Group collaborated with SHKS Architects on the mechanical section of a Facility Condition Audit for the Horizon/Husky Truck/Bus Maintenance facility located at 11222 East Marginal Way. The facility is currently a vehicle service and repair facility for buses, and also features parts storage and inventory space and administration and office spaces. Greenbusch evaluated building fire protection, plumbing, HVAC and vehicle service and wash systems and determining the prospective remaining service life and repairs/costs that may be necessary.
Center City Connector Environmental; Streetcar NEPA
Greenbusch is authoring the Noise and Vibration Technical Report for a 1.25-mile extension the Seattle Streetcar between Westlake Center and Pioneer Square. The project added track to connect two existing alignments: South Lake Union and First Hill. Scope included assessing noise and vibration impacts due to rail operations, construction, and maintenance facilities in accordance with FTA guidelines.
Fairview Avenue North Bridge Replacement
Assessment of environmental impacts for construction noise and vibration, underwater construction noise, and traffic noise for replacement of an existing bridge. Early work included construction noise and vibration impact assessments for the nearest sensitive receiver, a timber pile-supported bio-tech facility located five feet from the existing bridge, during the Type, Size, and Location (TS&L) phase. Impacts were compared for three different bridge alternatives investigated during the TS&L phase, each utilizing different construction means and methods.
Sound Transit University Link Light Rail
GBG completed an evaluation of pre-construction ambient and predicted construction noise levels associated with site excavation and tunneling activities for the University of Washington and Capitol Hill Stations. GBG used the analysis results to author a Technical Noise Analysis and Recommended Mitigation Plan that served as a technical report appendix to Technical Noise and Major Public Project Construction Variances to allow for nighttime work on the site.
Greenbusch also provides technical expertise in audio/video consulting and commissioning services.
