24 Hour Theatre Project- April 2

April 2nd at 7:30p in the Main Theatre of the UAlbany PAC.

The 24hr Theatre Project is back!

One night to write…one day to play.  The clock starts ticking when the playwrights' fingers hit their keyboards and ends with a final bow from 50+ theatre artists from the Berkshires and the Capital Region who have convened for just 24 hours to create and present five new works.

The Last Wife - April 17

April 17 at 3pm at the No. 6 Depot Roastery and Cafe. 

A contemporary retelling of the compelling relationship between Katherine Parr and Henry VIII, written by Kate Hennig.

With Kristin Wold and Tom Jaeger.

Kate is smart, poised, and passionate, a rising star in a world of intense competition, but her obligatory marriage to Henry is rife with the threat of violence and deceit, her devotion to the education of his daughters is putting strain on her marriage.

The play had its world premiere in 2015, with a sold out run at the Stratford Festival in Canada.

Also featuring Caroline Calkins, David Joseph, Theo Maurino and Gabrielle D. Straight.

April Vacation Camp - April 18-22

WAM Theatre is delighted to partner with IS183 in 2016 to offer theatre programming for girls aged 8-12.

LAST DAY TO BOOK: APRIL 8

Over the course of one week, participants will create a short theatre piece to share with friends and family on the last day of camp! Through improvisation, theatre games and writing prompts we will explore themes that are important to YOU and devise a short performance based on those themes. We will use all your talents and learn some new acting skills as well. Share your story and let YOUR voice be heard!
