D-Groups: What? When? Where? Why? How Long? A Note from Our Pastor
Here at Center Student Ministries, it’s our goal to see Jesus at the center of every student’s life! That’s why we have D-Groups (Discipleship Groups)! D-Groups are gender specific groups that meet in homes weekly in order to encourage, educate, and equip students in their relationship with Jesus. That's why we're launching a brand new midweek D-Group session!
What? Students gather midweek for a time of fun, fellowship, and Bible study! This Spring Session we'll be having sermon-based discussions, tackling what it looks like to obey Jesus' commands. When? Middle School students will meet on Tuesdays at 5:30p; High School students will meet on Wednesdays at 6:00p. Where? Our D-Groups meet in homes throughout Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park—this allows us to gather around the table and talk about being disciples of Jesus in the everyday stuff of life. Please click here to check out a complete listing of our D-Group locations. Why? We believe that as Christians we are to do life together—with Jesus at the center! When we gather, we seek to be authentic about our personal lives, study the Bible in an accurate and applicable way, and keep each other accountable to keeping Jesus at the center of all that we do. How long? We'll be following the school calendar year-round, hosting two semester sessions (Spring and Fall) in homes and one summer session on campus at Living Oaks Church. Our new Spring Session will last 11 weeks—staring our Summer Session back at the church on June 1st.
It gets even better! We'd like to offer host homes a night off—and give our students a fun night altogether! Once-a-month, we'll meet at Living Oaks Church for Why Not? Wednesday! for a time of fun and fellowship. Details below...
For a complete list of our new D-Groups (including locations, times, and contacts) check out our D-Group page here!

OBEY: Taking God at his Word
There's no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey! But what does a life of obedience really look like? And what has Jesus commanded us anyways? Join us on Sunday mornings at 11:15a as we survey Jesus' commands for the Christians and seek to take God at His Word. We'll cover topics such as: faith, holiness, devotion, discipleship, worship, love, and community. Individual series for both MS + HS students!
