What's It All About?
The most memorable themes of music, movies and literature are those that give us meaning.  They answer the PURPOSE question. We will all face situations in life that will involve serious issues like disease, death, divorce, doubt and the like. We will often deal with these matters separately and not see a broader connection. For instance, consider the life of Christ. He had an uneventful birth and a normal adolescence and young adult life. Suddenly, there was John and his ministry. Next, Jesus was baptized and began his God-given mission.  He called and trained followers for about three years. He preached, taught and healed large numbers. He was ultimately rejected and crucified. After three days, Jesus rose and, as they say, the rest is HIS-(S)TORY!

Many persons witnessed some or all of these events but never connected them. The same is true with people today. We can seek to be good people, raise our families and have good careers but have we missed something?

What is our purpose? Why are we here? What’s it all about?
These are good questions and they deserve a good answer.  Life is more than the accumulation of years and things. It is more than buying the latest and the greatest and owning the best. Jesus said it plainly: "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly" (John 10:10 NKJV).  The Apostle Paul grew to the place that he recognized that, in Christ, he lives, moves and had his existence (Acts 17:10) as opposed to the thief (devil) who comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10 NKJV). What connection did Paul make? He realized that the most important things in life are not things but PEOPLE.

So what kind of life do YOU want to live? When you are faced with a PURPOSE moment, you will have to choose whether you want life in the Lord like Paul or death. It may not appear to be that serious but think again -- it just might be.
