Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) Rebate Survey Now Applies to Large Groups

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires health insurance carriers to report their MLRs to state and federal agencies annually. This year, all large groups that had BlueChoice HealthPlan coverage in 2015 are required to complete and return an MLR rebate survey.

BlueChoice® will send this notice and survey to all of our accounts with active and terminated coverage in 2015. The survey asks each employer for the number of full-time equivalent (FTE) employees and the total number of employees who were eligible for health insurance in 2015. By completing the survey, they will help us ensure we have the accurate group size information. The information will help us determine if the group is “small” or “large” under ACA and whether they will qualify for a rebate.
