PhD candidate Sarah Minnes has been hired as a Water Liaison to provide advice to MNL members with their drinking water challenges. This position on a part-time basis until July, 30, 2016. Sarah has a Master of Science in rural planning and development, with a specialization in environment and development from the University of Guelph.
Sarah has been working with MNL and Dr. Kelly Vodden (Memorial University-Grenfell Campus) on drinking water related issues since February 2013 and has a good understanding of all parts of the drinking water system (from source to tap). Though she is not an engineer, she will be able to be a first contact to connect municipalities with the experts and resources they need to solve drinking water issues.
