Message from Alumni and
Community Relations
This issue shines a light on the accomplishments of entrepreneur and kinesiology grad, Gina Huneau, who owns the Thunder Bay gym Synergee Fitness.
You can also enjoy highlights from our recent Success Through Giving luncheon which brought together students and donors and revealed the impact that scholarships and bursaries have on the futures of Lakehead students.
If you have a yearning for adventure, we encourage you to sign up for the Department of Anthropology's 13-day tour of Italy that will take you to Rome and Naples before travelling to Florence, Venice, and Verona and then all the way to the Alps in northernmost Italy. This once-in-a-lifetime chance to explore ancient archaeological sites and immerse yourself in Italian culture is being led by two renowned Lakehead professors.

Ciao!

Wrestlers For Life!

In March, the new Lakehead Alumni Wrestling Chapter hosted a hospitality room at the 2016 OFSAA Wrestling Championships held in Windsor, Ontario. Running our first-ever event as a Chapter during the OFSAA Wrestling Championships was an obvious choice.
Randy Budner (HBPHE'80, BEd'81) organized the event with some help from Lakehead wrestling coach and Alumnus Francis Clayton. The event was a big success, with over 60 people in attendance!
