AGM & Education Day April 16th

World Hemophilia Day is April 17th. The Manitoba Chapter is holding our Annual General Meeting and Education Day on April 16th at FortWhyte Alive. We will be celebrating World Hemophilia Day and learning about our World Federation of Hemophilia Twinning with Mongolia! Are you curious about what it is like to be a child with an inherited bleeding disorder in other parts of the world? Would your child like to know? Dr. Jayson Stoffman and Kathy Mulder are two of the presenters who have experienced this volunteering with the World Federation of Hemophilia and have lots of great photos to show us. This is the first presentation after lunch on April 16th at the CHS-MC AGM and Education Day. Register at

86-90 HCV Settlement Agreement Surplus Update

CHS launched our efforts to have the 86-90 HCV Settlement Agreement surplus directed to enhance benefits for affected class members this morning. There are a number of documents on our website including the press release, a statement that is supported by over 60 organizations, a Q&A, a chronology and letters from the federal parties. Watch for templates for letters for individuals to send to Minister Philpott and MPs as well as a toolkit to help people to express their opinions to MPs and to share this information via social media. http://www.hemophilia.ca/en/  http://www.hemophilia.ca/fr/
