Spring means different things to people but, apparently, in my house, it means it's time for household projects that are woefully overdue. Things like yard work, and the carpet cleaning that inevitably follows when someone forgets to remove their shoes before tracking dirt inside. Ah, the joys of being mother to two teen boys.

 

Of course, it didn't help that I had three kids home on Spring break during two different weeks. Yes, two boys in the house can make it difficult to get any writing done but no more than having your college girl home after not seeing her for almost THREE months! I've missed Baby Girl, and missing her even more now that she's gone back to school (*cue the "Awwwwww" and a sad face*)

But, March has brought plenty of fun "work" as well, including a new round pen for a riding arena which means it's time to break this filly of mine. It started with getting her accustomed to helicopters landing in her pasture...seriously...HELICOPTERS! But, as long as "mom" (aka ME) was near, she was fine. Now, we have a round pen in place and it's time to saddle up.




Speaking of surprises (which is exactly how I'll feel when this filly bucks me off!) guess what's coming to a store near you?
