FAMILY

One thing that has been so prevalent in our minds and hearts is FAMILY.

It is because of the support of family that we have made it this far (6 years ago this month we embarked on this venture of faith and after 2 years of support raising we've reached 93%!!! of our financial goal. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!). And let us not forget that it is God who created family in the first place. 

Although we are still the Marin family, we're different. From the outside it seems we're still the same (still have each other to lean on and fight with) but something inside has changed. We understand this to be a normal part of the drastic changes we've endured.

Sad to say but one not so normal part (in the worlds eyes) has been the outpouring of love & support from our Florida family made up of friends. They have empowered us to persevere through the changes with their prayers, well wishes and care when life gets confusing and the road ahead looks difficult.

Now, we are forging a new family here in California with our team mates (which we look forward to introducing you to in our upcoming newsletters). This ministry family is slowly but surely understanding how to relate to one another since 4 new crazy people were added to it! And our family (J4Japan) is trying their best to contribute to the needs of this new family while showing hospitality (Romans 12:13).  We are all learning to trust each other for comfort and strength as we individually seek our continued relationship with Jesus and our continued obedience to His call. 

How do we even know how to do this?  It is because we have learned through the hospitality of family members everywhere and especially in Florida; where our family was welcomed time and time again to warm and loving homes where there was good food, fellowship and fun to be had.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  We were actually paying attention.
