Dear Family & Friends,
A busy month awaits us all on the farmstead for the month of April:
A family wedding, Agri-Expo DuPont South African Dairy Championships dinner, the Picnic Shed closing weekend and, of course, The Cheese Festival.
Therefore, due to all the exciting events coming up, this newsletter will be split into two newsletters.The second newsletter will be published in a month's time.

Picnic Shed Hibernating
One last weekend for cheese, picnic and family fun
The opening of The Picnic Shed signals the start of Spring, new beginnings and the impending sizzling summer season on the Farmstead. This time of the year reminds us that Winter is just around the corner, the leaves have started to fall and early morning fog sweeps through the Overberg.
This weekend will be the last for The Picnic Shed this season.
The season has been hugely popular once again with thousands of picnickers from around South Africa and abroad enjoying the playground, farm animals, river, family-time and cheese...
Make sure you join us for one last picnic before we close on 4 April.

The farmstead will be closed on the weekend of 30 April. Pete and Mags Baleta's daughter, Hannah, is getting married to Raymond Siebrits. The Picnic Shed will be hosting their family and friends for a joyous picnic celebration.

The Cheese Festival 2016
Klein River Cheese is thrilled to be attending the popular Cheese Festival, 2016.
April is generally regarded as Cheese Month in South Africa. We are fortunate to be part of the the cheese fraternity and the evolving South African cheese industry. This culminates in the black tie Dairy Awards dinner and a few days later the highly entertaining Cheese Festival.
We have not participated in the festival for many years and our presence this year has excited the Turophiles of South Africa. A first for the Baleta's, as well as the new team, we have been hard at work to ensure an innovative stand with great cheese, knowledgeable staff and exciting products.
