Another great Arts Equinox means another great "Green Room". As in the past, we have taken on the task of feeding all our great teachers, volunteers, and artists, but we can't do it alone!! Feeding roughly 150 people, 2 meals for 2 days is no small feat. While we are hoping to get some food donated, the majority must come from the Driscoll parent community. Please help by contributing a dish (especially you awesome cooks!) or by helping serve or prep food on either of the 2 days.
Please click the link and see what option might best fit your schedule or expertise.

A: We have lived in Brookline for 11 years. Our children Ellie (4th Grade) and Yanni (6th Grade) have attended Driscoll since they were 2 and 3 years old!

Q: For many years you edited the Driscoll Blue Sheet. Tell us how you came to do that and your other involvement in the school / PTO.

A: I highly recommend it as a way to get to know parents and staff at Driscoll. There are so many ways one can volunteer in various capacities that would fit your schedule.

Q: Do your kids have a favorite PTO program?
A: DASA is a favorite! They have enjoyed classes in Photography, It's Electric, Art, and Yoga.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”  ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Spring is here!  Driscoll children will enjoy these spring days by being outside using the fields, playground, basketball hoops, tennis courts and other play equipment!

Student achievement is assessed in multiple ways.  The strongest indicator of school achievement is academic performance and production.  Teachers use both formal and informal class screenings.  The state of Massachusetts assesses all children in grades 3-8 on the MCAS (Massachusetts Curriculum Assessment) each spring.   This week we will begin MCAS testing!    Families in grades 3-8 should have received a letter over Blackboard Connect last week with ways to support your child through the testing.  Please let us know if you did not and we will send it home with your child.

The math school improvement plan included a goal to help families assist their children at home with math homework and provide you with math resources.  We are launching a math resource website.  On March 30, 2016 at 8:00am you are invited to come to a parent coffee in the computer lab and learn how to use this great resource.   At this time, we will share with you the new Driscoll website being launched as well.
