WEB SITE CHANGES

I have extended myself with too many tasks and the result is not responding to emails and phone calls fast enough and too many products out of stock. A few changes will take place to correct this and they're subject to change once their initiated.
1. Orders will be shipped out only once a week - Mondays. Priority Mail orders will be processed within 1 or 2 business days.
2. Slowly, some product lines and manufacturers will not be continued. Once current inventory is depleted, the brand(s) will not be available. If you don't see an item you previously purchased, email me and I might be able to direct you elsewhere.

MODEL CAR CONTEST ENTRIES

TYPICAL AUTOMOBILE ENGINE HOSE SIZES

The sizes for the hoses depends on the application (street machine, funny car, etc).

This is based on a car/street machine and these sizes can also vary on engine size and type of induction (blower, carbs, etc).

Radiator hose 2"

Heater hose 3/4 and 1"

A/C hoses 3/4

Fuel line from tank to fuel pump 5/16 or 3/8 (hard line)

Fuel line return (for EFI, etc) is a size smaller than the supply line (also a hard line)

Fuel line from fuel pump to carb(s) is the same size as the hard line except this would be a hose or braided line. Since the scale braided line is measured as OD, go up a size larger than the hard line. Example for 1/25 scale: Hard fuel line = 3/8" (.016" aluminum line), Braided line = .025" scale braided line.

Automatic transmission cooler lines 5/16"
Vacuum lines to distributor and power brake booster 1/4"
Power steering lines 5/16" (braided or soft line)
Smog related soft lines 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2"

The scale sizes listed may not exactly match what is available and your scale may not be shown, so use the given size as a start and select the hose in stock that is the closest.

RECENT BACK ORDERED ITEMS

Mobile versions of the web site have had issues where products could be purchased when they weren't in stock. This has led to many back orders which shouldn't have happened. I'm sorry for any delays and we're working on it now.

ANOTHER USE FOR THOSE CLEAR PLASTIC MODEL DISPLAY CASES.

I keep a few on my workbench and put my works-in-progress in them.
It keeps the dust off and keeps me from bumping the model or dropping something on it.
They can be stacked to make a smaller footprint on your crowded work surface.
You can readily see the model and what state of completion it's in.
