Volunteers Still Needed!
Hello, hello, hello!
Lots of fun this week as March is Reading Month winds down.  Wednesday is a half day, and the day to turn in those reading logs.  Thursday is the all school Drop Everything and Read, and PTSO will announce the winners of the individual with the most reading minutes logged, as well as the class with the most total minutes.  We will have a bake sale Thursday, too, and still need donations to make that happen.  Please sign up here:

This Sunday is the Festifools parade in downtown Ann Arbor.  AALC will be marching this year, so please come out and support the kids.  Better yet, put on a crazy outfit and join in the fun!  We will have a few extra signs and noisemakers to share of it, but feel free to bring whatever kitschy, kooky accessories you like.  We'll be meeting at the downtown branch of the library at 3:30 to join up with the other revelers making their way to Main Street for the parade.  Parking is free on Sundays and usually plentiful so there's no excuse not to come out for this unique and hilarious event.

One last reminder for the week!  Please let PTSO know what you can donate to the Spring Fling Auction, and if you or someone you know would like to treat the event goers to some music.  We are starting to pull together the details of auction items, musicians to rock the mic, and activities to bring indoor areas to life.  Anything you can donate, solicit, or otherwise volunteer is so welcome!

Buy a Brick Order form--Orders Due April 29th!!

AALC PTSO sends Wendi Felgner big time appreciation!  Thanks so much for making hundreds of bags of slime to give out at the Easter Egg hunt that was held on school grounds on Saturday.  What a great way to advertise the school and spread a bit of hand made, ooozy joy!
Email PTSO!
AALC is taking the NASA Clean Air Challenge! But in order for us to succeed we need more plants! The counting, measuring, and math calculations are done! We have been splitting, harvesting and rooting new plants but we still need more plants.

Please bring in donations of house plants.
WE HAVE RECEIVED 107 NEW PLANTS!!

WE STILL NEED 100 PLANTS!!

(cuttings to be rooted and divided plants welcome!)

Let Katrina at the front desk know the number of plants you brought. Take the plants to the GEO Ed room (Room 16) to be placed in areas around the school where they are needed. We will be tracking our progress in the great room.

WE STILL NEED 100 NEW PLANT DONATIONS!
PLEASE HELP US MEET OUR NASA CLEAN AIR CHALLENGE GOAL!

From Kids Club...

We're starting up a new round of clubs at Kids Club!

Clubs are the heart of our program; they are initiated by children, led by staff members and open to everyone. They are small break-out sessions that happen during regular Kids Club time, doing activities around a specific topic.
Clubs are an excellent opportunity for learning pro-social behaviors; they offer children the opportunity to learn important skills such as their role in a group, success outside of academics, personal responsibility and accountability to a group. Clubs happen during regular afternoon Kids Club time.

Current schedule of clubs:
Monday – Nature/Recycling Club and Superhero Club
Tuesday – Car Club and Karaoke Club
Wednesday – Video Game Club and Food & Dessert Club
Thursday – Stuffed Animal Club
Friday – DIY/Craft Club and Fairy Club

We would love to have your child drop in and join us for a club they might be interested in!
For more information about registering for a drop-in, contact Rachel Tewari, AALC Kids Club Director: 734.761.7101Rachel@communitydaycareinc.org
