Julianne Ricksecker and the 7 Printmakers
Featured at Ladybug Art Gallery in April
For the last several months I have been creating a series of pieces about the many moods of Torrey Pines State Park. If you follow me on Facebook, you have seen a few sneak peeks! Working in pastel, watercolor, monotype and etching, I will show a eleven brand new pieces celebrating this local gem. In addition, I will have a number of old favorites on display.
The 7 Printmakers will be featured at the same time, so you will be treated to work by Raymond Brownfield, Jacqueline Dotson, Robert Fritsch (deceased in 2015), Kathi McCord, Sfona Pelah, Angelika Villagrana and myself. We will have framed and unframed work available.
Exhibition: April 2 - 30
Reception: April 9, 11 - 3

I will also offer a series of six classes in monotype printmaking at the Ladybug Art Center Wednesday evenings, April 13 through May 18, 6:30 - 8:30. This is a unique opportunity to learn an art form that is endlessly fascinating and a little unusual. You can take one class or all six. $30 per session or all six for $150.
Ladybug Art Center features the original work of local artists, offering classes in many mediums for beginning artists. Private instruction and Group Study is also available.
The Center is free and open to the public 11:00 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday. It is located on the number 11 bus line. For additional information, call 619.563-0082
