The Men From Leith
with Dick Gaughan, Blue Rose Code, Dean Owens & The Whisky Hearts

The Queen's Hall, Edinburgh, Fri 6 May

A night to celebrate the songwriting and musical talents of three men from Leith - outstanding musicians who all hail from the same small corner of Edinburgh. A mix of original and traditional songwriting and compelling performances, with grit, fire, honesty and wry humour.

Dick Gaughan is an internationally established and greatly loved giant of Scottish music, while Blue Rose Code (aka Ross Wilson) and former Felsons frontman Dean Owens are widely acknowledged as two of Scotland’s finest contemporary singer songwriters.

Inspired by Owens’ classic song Man From Leith, this promises to be an unforgettable evening.  Tickets and more info can be found on the Queen's Hall website

Blue Rose Code's brilliant new album And Lo! The Bird is on the Wing is out now and available from the usual download sites and good record stores.  It's been receiving glowing 5 star reviews and "Album of the Year" tips. The band's recent BBC Quay Session with Edith Bowman can be heard here.
Dean Owens' brand new single, Cotton Snow (recorded with Nashville producer, guitarist and songwriter Dave Coleman) is released on iTunes on 15 Apr.  Available for pre-ordering now.  It's a thoughtful, swampy groove with shimmering guitars and Dean's trademark searingly soulful vocals.

Hannah Aldridge + Lilly Hiatt

Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh

2 fiery and talented chips off old blocks.

East Nashville firebrand Lilly Hiatt is the daughter of John Hiatt, and describes her music as the majesty of melancholy, accepting the sadder aspects of life and finding some peace in them.
