Children’s Cancer Run
Around 100 schools from across the region take part in the Children’s Cancer Run every year, helping to raise cash for the North of England Children’s Cancer Research fund. All funds raised will help the Newcastle research team find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer.

Schools Northeast   The Good Teacher Training Guide 2015 found that more men are training to be primary school teachers, but fewer are entering secondary schools. Their analysis suggests the proportion of men in postgraduate routes for primary teaching has increased since 1998  from 14 to 17 per cent. In contrast, the proportion of men training to be secondary teachers has dropped by eight percentage points. Read more >
