This week, Flaunt your Frenchness...by making homemade croissants!
It may seem challenging to prepare good croissants. We tried and it's actually a child's play. See images below. Click the images to find different ways of doing and more info about the croissant history (English on the left ones, French on the right ones).
What do you need?
  • 1 rond puff pastry
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Chocolate spread or jam (optional but better with!)

How to do it?
  1. Cut the dough into triangles
  2. Put some chocolate or jam on the broad side of the triangle
  3. Roll the triangle from the wider side toward the tip
  4. Brush the top of the croissant zith egg yolk
  5. Bake on a rack for 30 minutes (or less, watch out!) at 180 ° C

Each week, you'll find in this newsletter a small sentence that can be used next time you go to a French speaking country.

To keep in the theme, please find below what you could ask while in Strasbourg, France:
" Pouvez-vous m'indiquer une boulangerie qui fait des croissants ?"
[Poovay-voo m'inh-dee-key une boolan-je-ree key fay day croissan?]
