The Great Gonski Doorknock!

Teachers, support staff, parents and other passionate supporters of Gonski knocked on the doors of about 300 homes around Launceston to explain the urgent need for Malcolm Turnbull to reverse his plan to stop the rollout of Gonski.

Leaders' Convention update


The AEU Leaders' Convention will be held at the Tamar Valley Resort in Launceston on Thursday and Friday, May 5 & 6 and it's likely to be less than two months before a federal election.

Your hard won pay rise


If you are covered by the TasTAFE Teaching Staff Agreement or Teaching Service Employment Agreement (DOE) then you will have received a two percent pay rise on March 23 (or first full pay period thereafter).
