Child mortality in Chad
In Chad, 1 out of 5 children die before reaching the age of 5. Pep Bonet spent eight days at Saint Joseph’s hospital in Bébédja, documenting Dr. Jorge Muñoz’s daily work in the pediatric ward.
His photos are part of ‘El infierno más bonito que conozco’, a collection of the diaries Dr.Jorge Muñoz wrote during his trips to Chad. The proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the NGO Ayuda al Chad.

Nina Berman's images on USA gun culture are part of 'Unloaded', a collective exhibition exploring the historical and social issues surrounding the availability, use and impact of guns on culture and public health.
Nina Berman's work examines security as a form of state sponsored performance art, merging ideology, propaganda and entertainment. A selection of new and archival images from Nina Berman's Homeland series have also been published in The Baffler, Issue 30 'Panic!'.

For ActionAid, Kadir van Lohuizen has been documenting the consequences of land grabbing and the importance of land rights in Mozambique. The ‘Women’s land rights in the picture’ exhibition sheds light on the inspiring stories of women who, thanks to the support of ActionAid, have organized in cooperatives to fight for their land rights.

CCGE, Guatemala. March 8-April 11
Via Panam, Kadir van Lohuizen's long-term project on migration in the Americas, opened this month in Guatemala. Escuela Taller Guatemala, a municipal organisation funded by Cooperation Española, is organising group visits with children who have no access to formal education. For many of these it was the first time at a show, and an occasion to discuss their personal stories, in many cases related to migration. The initiative is organised by Paradox, with the support of the Centro Cultural de España.
