SUPPLY CALL, PLEASE
At the first of the school year, we asked elementary students to bring supplies for the all of the classrooms.  (As storage is limited, we divide the "ask" into two groups.)  We have now used our supply of facial tissue, so we now ask that primary and kindergarten families please bring 2 boxes of facial tissue.
FIELD DAY SCHEDULED
Field Day is a day of fun for kindergarten through 5th year elementary students.  This year's event will be on Friday, May 13 (Rain date, Monday, May 16).  WMS families join TIS families and enjoy field games, relays, and playing outside.   Though no schedule is set, classes usually have either a morning or afternoon session at the games.  Parents are invited to volunteer to help run games, serve refreshments, or just to come and cheer us on!   More information to follow...
MUSIC PROGRAM  NOTES
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
As you know, our Spring Music Program, including ceremonies for Upper Elementary Graduation and Transition from Lower to Upper Elementary, is scheduled for Friday, May 6, at 1:00 PM.  The program will be followed by a cookie reception in our classroom, after which children are dismissed for the day.  We hope that all of our families will attend.

As the this year's program has a patriotic theme, please send children in red, white, or blue clothing.  Girls, this is an opportunity to wear your best dress, or pants.  Boys, please wear red, white, or blue (or black) slacks--no khaki, and no jeans, please.  Flip-flops or high-heeled shoes are not recommended, as students will be on risers on the stage.
    DO WE HAVE YOUR
ENROLLMENT COMMITMENT?

We consider each of you as part of our school family, and we truly hope to see all of our familiy return in the fall.  May we look forward to working with your child next year?   To those who have returned enrollment agreements, THANK YOU!  Knowing early of your commitment helps us in planning.  If you know that you will not be returning, we also appreciate knowing that (even though we don't want to hear it!).

If you have questions or concerns about your child's enrollment, we welcome the opportunity to address them.   Please contact Jane Saunders or your child's teacher.

GEOGRAPHY-A-THON UPDATE

Geography-a-thon results are out and Montessori students have passed with flying colors!

Once again, our children have demonstrated how much they love learning, and learning about geography. From Primary to 5th year, some children went above and beyond and scored more than what was on the test and the bonus points.

Congratulations to all Wichita Montessori Students!!!

At this time, we would also like to shout out a big THANK YOU to all the parents who have pledged their support and sent in their donations already. For the rest, the graded test/scores and pledge sheets were sent home with the students on Monday after the Spring break and students have until April 6th, to collect the sponsored pledge and return them to school.

As we approach the end of the school year and look forward to the next, it is important to fulfill our goals for this year. With the funds raised, the Parents Group would like to support Continuing Education for all WMS teachers, fund Montessori Certification and possibly upgrade the Primary and Kindergarten playground, where our younger children love to play.

Parents’ active support is always welcome and is key in achieving an enriched learning environment for our kids! All amounts are welcome... Big or Small!
