Transdisciplinary research on the agenda for South Africa workshop
As part of the ISSC’s mission to promote research with and for society, we recently co-organized an introductory training workshop on transdisciplinary (TD) research at the Centre for Complex Systems in Transition at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Participants from across Africa took part in the workshop, which was planned to pilot and refine an outline curricula for capacity development in TD research developed by the ISSC.
The workshop was the next step for an initiative that began in 2014, when the ISSC brought together researchers and practitioners to design an initiative to support and sustain capacity development in TD research at national and international levels. Read the full story.
