Team Reed is very excited to announce that Todd and Brad Reed's Michigan: Wednesdays in the Mitten is currently a finalist for three book awards!!!

IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards

Todd and Brad Reed's Michigan: Wednesdays in the Mitten is in the running for a Gold Award in TWO categories in the Benjamin Franklin Awards for 2016. The two categories are best Coffee Table Book and Interior Design: 3 or more Color.

The IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award for excellence in book publishing is regarded as one of the highest national honors for small and independent publishers.

We have already won a Silver Award in both of these categories. Todd and his wife, Debbie, will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah on April 8th to see who is the Gold Award winner.

2015 IndieFab Book of the Year Award

Todd and Brad Reed's Michigan: Wednesdays in the Mitten is also a finalist for the 2015 IndieFab Photography Book of the Year

“The 2015 INDIEFAB finalist selection process is as inspiring as it is rigorous,” said Victoria Sutherland, publisher of Foreword Reviews. “The strength of this list of finalists is further proof that small, independent publishers are taking their rightful place as the new driving force of the entire publishing industry.”

Foreword Reviews will celebrate the winners during a program at the American Library Association Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida in June.

Stay tuned for award updates!
Our 2017 Calendars have arrived!!!!!!

SPECIAL CALENDAR PROMOTION!

From today through May 15th, 2016, Todd and Brad Reed's Michigan 2017 Calendar will be just $15! Not only that, but with each calendar purchase your name goes in a drawing with a chance to win up to five free 24inch metal prints!

Customers who purchase one or more of the first 100 calendars will be entered into a drawing to win a free 24 inch metal print with the image of their choice (does not include shipping charges).  For each copy of the calendar you buy, your name will go in the drawing (example - If you purchase six calendars your name will go in the drawing six times).

After we sell 200 calendars, we will have a second drawing for another free 24inch metal print with the image of their choice. All 200 entries will be in this drawing, so if you didn't win in the first 100 you still have a chance!

We will continue the drawings when 300, 400 and 500 calendars are sold, or until May 15th, 2016. Every name that was in the first two drawings for the first 200 purchases  will still be in the third drawing. Every name that was in the first three drawings for the first 300 purchases will be in the fourth drawing, and every name that was in the first four drawings for the first 400 purchase will also be included in the fifth drawing.

Theoretically, you could win five free 24inch metal prints, if you are one of the first one hundred purchases.  So the sooner you purchase and the more copies you purchase through this promotion the more chances you have of winning!!!

No added discount for multiple purchases.  Shipping is not included. The sale will end after 500 calendars are sold or May 15th, whichever comes first.

April Photo Tip of the Month

One thing that photographers may forget to do, or maybe they don't realize the importance of doing, is formatting your memory card.

When you download your images off of your memory card, and then "erase" these images, there are still traces of these files on that memory card. It lowers the room available on your card, and has an increased chance of corruption to your memory card.

By formatting your card after you download your images, this removes all traces of the files from the card. Leaving you with your full card memory, and less chance of corruption to your card or files. Be sure to format your card IN your camera, and don't use a computer to do so.

**If you have "protected" any images on your memory card, when you format your card these images will be fully erased off of the card. The protection does not protect when formatting your card, only when you erase the card.
