Saturday May 14, 2016, Due South Brewing Co. will celebrate 4 years since the brewery opened to the public. The actual opening date for the brewery is May 12, so you can expect a little something special that night too, but our anniversary celebration will be Saturday. Join us for special beers, food trucks, and big fun!
Weekender Weekend
To celebrate our recently released Weekender Weisse we have created a number of variations and we'll be showcasing them on Saturday, April 16th in our taproom.
Weekender Weisse is our take on the German style Berliner Weisse. Originated in the city of Berlin, this wheat based beer utilizes the souring bacteria Lactobacillus to give a tart, lemony flavor and aroma. The low ABV and crisp finish makes this a refreshing choice in the warming months.
Starting next week, this beer will be available in distribution so you can ask for it at your favorite craft beer bar.
Saturday, April 16, we will tap several small batch varieties of this beer include Kiwi, Strawberry Hibiscus, Mosaic Dry Hopped and more! These batches are in limited quantities so no crowler or growler fills. Come spend your weekend with us and some Weekender.
Due South Employee Spotlight
This month we are featuring a man with a plan - a "can plan" to be specific. Our Packaging Manager, Jeremy, is a relatively new addition to the Due South team. Stop by most Tuesdays and Thursdays to see him in action on the canning line.
What is your favorite Due South beer and why?
I would say Hopicana. I love the the smell and taste that comes out of that can.
Besides the Due South taproom, where is your favorite spot to grab a beer and why?
Beer Trade Company in Delray. The guys there are great, the atmosphere is chill and there is lots of beer.
How do you feel when you see someone drinking a can of Due South?
I feel a sense of pride. Every person that works in the brewery gives 100% to ensure that we provide our community with stellar beer.
What has surprised you about working at Due South?
The work ethic and dedication that everyone at Due South brings to this craft.
