Each month, the Trent Swim Club recognizes the swimmer who stands out to be the most committed and hard-working individual in each age group. If you see the swimmer of the month around, make sure to give them a high five for their choice to positively influence the team.
AG1- Bethany Kortun comes to each and every practice to do her best. Bethany asks questions to help her to understand our practices and the feedback she gets in order to become even a better swimmer. Her positive approach and enthusiasm is infectious and allows everyone to see how much she loves swimming.
AG2- Jordan De Groot has had 100% attendance for the March practices. She has been working on finding what makes her feel uncomfortable, and ways of pushing through them. Learning to do this makes the difference between a good athlete, student, friend, sister and makes them a great one. Her stroke is very clean, efficient, and uses feedback effectively which makes her a pleasure to watch and coach in practice. Congratulations Jordan on being swimmer of the month!
AG3- Liam Cole has had a terrific attendance track for the month of March, though juggling his curling schedule, did not miss any make up practices. Not only showing up, but showing up ready to make improvements and learning to feel the water pressure differently which requires attention to every stroke- to which he has been very attentive. Swimming is not only physically demanding but can be mentally demanding at times as well; Liam has not backed down from the challenge of self- improvement. I look forward to seeing him compete this season!
