We Appreciate Our Volunteers!
Have you volunteered with Northstar at some point in the past year? Then we want to show you just how much we appreciate your service at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Night! Join us on Friday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. as we party like it's 1959! Come for the fun and fellowship, stay for the food and door prizes! This is our chance to say thank you for all your tireless and joyful service to our church and to our Lord. Without our volunteers, it would not be possible to spread Christ's love throughout the New River Valley and beyond!

 Member Meeting This Sunday!
Coming up this Sunday at 4:00 p.m. we will have our next member meeting at Grace Covenant Church. This meeting is expected to be FUN, INSPIRING, FULL, and EQUIPPING. We will have an Evangelism Training session led by our own Trey Moore. We will also have a chance to share our stories, hear recent ministry reports, as well as take a look at the Leadership Board nomination process. Childcare will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
 ReVerb Movie Night
Coming up this Sunday, April 10, ReVerb will be meeting at Frank's Cinebowl movie theater to watch God's Not Dead 2 as a group. We also want to extend the invitation to the parents of our 6-12 graders as this will be a great opportunity for families to watch a movie that inspires students to stand up for their faith. Cost will be $11.00 per ticket. If you plan to join us, please contact Alex Kacere to let him know.

 GAP Cookie Competition
This weekend, GAP is hosting a cookie competition! It will be held this Saturday, April 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the Northstar Ministry Center. Find your favorite cookie recipe and compete with your GAP friends over who gets the bragging rights for who makes the best cookies! There will be a prize for the winners! Even if you are not much of a baker, we encourage you to come out and join us for fun and fellowship and plenty of delicious cookies for the eating. On April 10, during our 9:00 a.m. service, we will be celebrating new life and obedience through baptism. If you or a family member are interested in being baptized, we would love to meet and discuss your commitment to Jesus and explain our beliefs and practice of baptism.

 Text to Give
We've implemented a new feature that makes it easier than ever to give for those of you who would like to participate but have left cash or checkbook at home. Simply text "Give $5" (or whatever amount you would like) to 540-427-7724 and, after a quick 1-minute set up process, you'll be ready to "text to give" with Northstar! You can designate which campus (Blacksburg or Pulaski), what fund (General, Immeasurably More, etc.), and your giving will be tracked on MyNorthstar for your own convenience and personal reporting.

With a new semester of ministry under way, we are looking for a few good volunteers who are interested in meeting new people and finding ways to invest in the kingdom of God through service. There are many ways for you to get involved at Northstar and we encourage each of our members and attenders to find a place to bless others.

 Baby Dedication
If you are a Northstar member and the parent of an infant or toddler, we invite you to join in the celebration and dedication of raising your child to know Jesus Christ with our church family! Our next Baby Dedication will take place on Sunday, May 22 during the 10:00 a.m. service. We will have an orientation on Saturday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Northstar Ministry Center to prepare for the dedication service.

 ReVerb Kickball Tournament
Calling all 6th through 12th graders in the New River Valley! ReVerb, Northstar's youth ministry, invites you to the first annual Kickball Tournament at Nellie's Cave Park in Blacksburg on Saturday, April 16. We will have a double elimination tournament as well as food and other games available to play. It all starts at 5:00 p.m. and there is an entry fee of $35.00 per seven person team. There will be prizes available for the top teams, so be sure to get your team's registration form here! Don't wait to sign up! Deadline to register is this Friday, April 8!

 Parents' Night Out
Northstar Blacksburg and Northstar Pulaski are teaming up with Grace Life Baptist Church for a Parents' Night Out on Saturday, May 7. Go out and enjoy some time with your spouse while we watch the kids! We will have movies, games, toys and snacks available for the kids to enjoy. Please complete this form by Wednesday, May 4 if you would like your children to participate.

 Upcoming Missions Opportunity!
Northstar is putting together a mission team that will be spending time in Spain from July 1-10. The cost is approximately $2,500 and will be limited to 10 participants. The team will be leading a Vacation Bible School style day camp as they make connections with the Basque population. If you have the ability to easily form relationships and have a servant heart, this opportunity is for you.
