Connecting with Heritage

... Recognising our Own Power

Linking ourselves with our heritage can assist us to see how our own actions can produce a result. This gives us power. Power to change ourselves and the world around us. Power to be responsible for ourselves and others. This recognition of power grows resilience. The blog at the link below explains some reasons why we believe a touch of history is important in child development.

Adventures in Nature...

... Discoveries of JOY

Making time to explore nature slowly allows your senses to find fascinating things.

In all our programs, adventure and exploration become a large part of the day. Children are inspired and excited by what they discover and parents are reminded to slow down and celebrate little joys of wonder.

This blog shares the story of a boy and his friends who come across a real life seahorse at our KIN Senior program. An experience that connects to his heart and which he retells many times.

Mud Pies Nature Playgroups...

... Educational in a Fun and Relaxing Way

"I'm so happy to be taking my son to this wonderful quality playgroup which has heart and soul. I really like how Mud Pies is educational in a fun and relaxing way.  There is some structure but there is no pressure to do anything - the children can explore or just be.  I like how I can take my son out into nature feeling safe that we are part of a group rather than just on our own which can be daunting when no one else is around.  Daniel and his team of facilitators are truly passionate about what they do.  They are caring and nurturing and have a great connection with the children."

Transferable Skills for Kids...

... from Sticks to the Dining Table

Fine motor skills, coordination, observation, persistence and practice are all things we value and pay particular attention to at Mud Pies Nature Playgroup.

One of our parents noticed that her child used skills from practicing with a hacksaw at Mud Pies to work with a knife at dinner time.
