The Austin/Travis County Reentry Roundtable and ECHO invite you to an engaging series to discuss and address system barriers to employment-specifically for persons who are homeless and/or who have criminal backgrounds.
There will be three forums scheduled throughout the next several months:
Meeting 1-Wednesday, April 13th, 1-3pm: This session will include a panel of representatives from local government, higher education, service providers and employers to help build understanding about current local initiatives and opportunities to address system barriers to employment
Meeting 2-May 11th, 1-3pm: Ensure that potential strategies align with the perspectives of people with lived experience of the criminal justice system and homelessness
Meeting 3-June 8th, 1-3pm: Develop local strategy to address identified barriers
Sessions are open to all; program managers of workforce and job training providers are encouraged to attend. All meetings will be held at the Travis County Administrative Building at 700 Lavaca, Conference Room B (second floor). Parking validation will be provided.
