Month of the Young Child

Happy spring. It’s that time of year again when the earth is warming and green begins to emerge. With the close of March and April moving right along, spring is here, and so is the Month of the Young Child.

This is a time when communities and people recognize the joys, needs, and rights of young children and their families.

Since 1971, one week in April has been celebrated nationally as Week of the Young Child. For the past several years, our community has celebrated the entire month. Below highlights the community coming together for young children and their families.

Go Blue!

April is also Child Abuse Prevention Month with the #goblue campaign to raise child abuse awareness. The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center has several ways for the community to get more involved and support efforts in preventing child abuse.
