Excited to share the first SAMATA newsletter of 2016. It's been a busy year so far and we wanted to rethink the content. We hope you like the new direction. Thank you for your continued support.

You asked and we listened. We tweaked the website, www.samatahome.com, to make the style pages more accessible, our global reach more visible and the online chatter more inclusive.

DESIGNING CHANGE DOCUMENTARY
We produced a short. I am so proud to have worked with the brilliant duo – Suzy Amis Cameron & Brandon Hickman Photography, to co-produce the short video, Designing Change.
- Directed by Brandon Hickman
- Produced by Suzy Amis Cameron, Samata Pattinson and Brandon Hickman
- Narrated by Samata, the short is also on IMDB here.
The short video 'Designing Change' follows Suzy Amis Cameron's Red Carpet Green Dress campaign from its inception with the Avatar press run in 2009 through to the recent Oscars ceremony in 2016, which saw Sophie Turner and Lily Cole walk the carpet as ambassadors. For those not au fait with the campaign, Red Carpet Green Dress is a sustainable fashion design campaign, raising awareness about the global impact of the fashion industry on people and the planet. With design teams, sponsors, partners, students and experts alike, including the iconic Dame Vivienne Westwood, Penny Walsh and the Royal School of Needlework, the video showcases a committed network of fashion partners.

Thanks to Lily Cole and Sophie Turner for being such fantastic ambassadors for the campaign, but also to our sponsors and partners including Earth Friendly Products, OKAPI, Lux & Eco and many more. You can find out more about their involvement here on the official site, but this write-up on an independent blog about the campaign is also one of my favourites.
