The New Wildwoods Facility Takes Root

By Tara Smith

Construction begins on Wildwoods' new facility

There is a rumble of construction equipment emanating from 4009 West Arrowhead Road in Duluth! We have been eagerly watching our new Wildwoods facility begin to take shape. The old garage has been pulled down and removed to make room for our parking lot. It was great fun for us all to help with the demolition! We have watched tons of rock being trucked in and distributed to the backyard to create a level surface for our first new building. Every day, we walk the staked off area where the walls will be, and daydream about what will materialize over the next few weeks during Phase 1 of our project. It's a very exciting time as Wildwoods begins to grow in great leaps! Read More...

By Peggy Farr

"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world" – Anne Frank

Helping wildlife in need and the people who find them is one of our two primary missions. Education is our other primary mission. Each animal who comes to Wildwoods has a story. Read More...

Spring Season, Baby Season

by Megan Stanton

Spring has sprung in the Northland and that means one thing for wildlife rehabbers: babies. Lots of them. In Late-April to Mid-May we receive a seemingly endless number of healthy orphaned babies, and the truth is many of those are caused by humans and are easily preventable.

Click here to find some tips to help keep healthy orphans with their moms, and hospital space at Wildwoods free for sick and injured animals.
