Our team has recently grown with the addition of some very qualified members. During our last scheduling meeting, we had a discussion about the company values. In our case, Innova’s values were developed as part of a team brainstorming exercise. We thought it was important to remind each member of our team and inform new members about what we had selected as a guiding criteria:
- Teamwork: The cooperative effort by the team to achieve creative and innovative results.
- Quality: Efficiently providing excellent, superior, high standard products and services to external and internal customers by always doing our best.
- Fun: To laugh and express appropriate, good-natured humor.
- Integrity: Our word is impeccable. Words and deeds match up; being fair to ourselves and to clients; not taking things personally.
While each value is equally important at Innova, I thought about expanding on integrity. Rob Naples, one of our VP’s, who many of you know, brought up a talk by Dr. Balaji Krishnamurthy where he defines three levels of integrity:
- Lowest Level – Tell the truth.
- Second Level – Do what you say you are going to do, i.e. being transparent in your actions.
- Highest Level – Give your A Game, a state where the individual and the organization are transparent in their actions and their thoughts. In Balaji’s conception, a state where the politics yield to the truth.
In closing, I wonder what type of world we could create if we personally, and those around us would live by the highest level of integrity.

Minimize Your Risk Through
Construction Engineering
Every project presents challenges for the contractor. The larger and more complicated the project is, the more likely the contractor will need additional support to develop the right solution. If outside expertise is needed to solve the problem during construction, the same outside expertise will be an asset to the contractor at the beginning stages to help them closely capture the costs and risk on the contract. Robert Naples, Vice President of Innova Technologies, will share his experiences on some major construction projects. If you are interested in attending, please contact Heather Brown by May 16th. Project Highlight: T-Mobile Arena
The T-Mobile Arena, a state-of-the-art, 20,000-seat multipurpose event center from AEG and MGM Resorts International, is the new beacon that shines on the Las Vegas strip. Opening on April 6th, the new arena will ensure that Las Vegas will remain the entertainment capital of the world. Innova provided designs for all interior stairs in our Client’s scope including the main architecturally exposed 66’ long stairs. For each stair we provided the connections to the base structure, reviewed fabrication and erection drawings for compliance with the design and support during construction.
In addition, Innova provided the design and construction support for miscellaneous steel structures such as the operable partitions support, the roll up doors framing, and the storefront framing for the Team Store. All items included the coordination with multiple trades.

Innova is pleased to introduce the latest additions to our Engineering team:
Jinrong Liu, Ph.D. joins us as Project Engineer. Dr. Liu received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Tianjin University in Tianjin, China, and earned his Doctorate in Structural Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Esmaeel Rahmani, Ph.D. joins us as Project Engineer. Dr. Rahmani earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and his Master’s Degree in Earthquake Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran and Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, respectively. Dr. Rahmani earned his Doctorate in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.
