BCR NP Neighbourhood Forum

We have now changed to a combined three ward quarterly forum which will move round the Bishopston, Cotham and Redland wards in rotation. The Neighbourhood Partnership wants to focus more on outreach engagement i.e. taking the Partnership out to existing community events and meetings rather relying on forums to engage with local people.
So if you would like to come along and have your say at the next gathering, details are below.

Notes from the previous meetings can be found

Neighbourhood Partnership Plan Review

We are reviewing our priorities and where we allocate funding and other resources for 2016/17. Please see our website for the current plan and let us have your ideas for projects?

Bristol Big Give

Please find below all the info about this year's Big Give. This year, the campaign will run from 1st May until mid-July. We support this project because of the amount of household items which is collected and recycled that would otherwise be fly tipped in our area. We are assured this year the bins will be emptied more regularly to prevent the build up of side waste.

The project is a collaboration between Bristol City Council, University of Bristol, University of Bristol Students’ Union (Bristol SU), University of the West of England, UWE Students’ Union (UWESU) and British Heart Foundation. This is part of the Love Where You Live campaign
(http://www.lovewhereyoulivebristol.co.uk/) which helps to build relationships between the student body and the local community, as well as improve sustainability in the city.
Every year, the partnership runs a waste campaign to remind students of their responsibilities when moving out of their accommodation.

Ashley Down Green update

Want sustainable, secure, free Cycle Parking for your local business or organisation?

BCR NP has joined with Life Cycle's on-going scheme called ‘Take A Stand ®’ to provide small businesses, shops and non-profit organisations with the opportunity to install cycle parking at no cost in Bishopston, Cotham and Redland.

Having a safe place for customers to park their bikes, not only encourages the use of bicycles in local areas, but allows businesses and organisations to promote their green credentials and reduce cycle theft.

Life Cycle UK can provide up to four FREE cycle stands, and BCR NP will refund the cost of their installation (up to a maximum of £250) on publicly accessible forecourts. For more details see:

lifecycleuk.org.uk/free-cycle-parking or email info@bcrnp.org.uk
