Mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre to speak at CHRA Congress
Last week, CHRA announced that the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Jean-Yves Duclos will be providing a keynote address at the Housing and Homelessness Congress in Montreal.
We can now confirm that Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre will also be addressing delegates during the opening ceremonies on April 13. Prior to being elected as Mayor of Montreal, Denis Coderre was the Member of Parliament for the riding of Bourassa, where he was re-elected six times, and served in a number of different federal Cabinet roles. Read Denis Coderre’s bio.
Since elected officials at all levels play a role in shaping housing policy and programs, CHRA is pleased to be joined by leaders from both federal and municipal governments, whom have shown much interest in making affordable housing more accessible.
