Accolades

For research entitled, Risk for Adolescent Depression, Lauren Alloy (Psychology) has received an additional year of funding from NIH.

CLA would like to congratulate two Psychology students, who were each selected to receive a competitive NSF Graduate Research Fellowship: Staci Weiss (mentored by Peter Marshall) and Martha Fahlgren (mentored by Mike McCloskey).

Reminder: NIH & AHRQ Grant Application Changes Take Effect in May
This
Notice reminds the biomedical and health services research communities of forthcoming grant application submission changes that go into effect for proposal submissions on or after May 25th, 2016.  If you intend to apply for a proposal in the coming months, we encourage you to review the new changes closely to determine if they apply to your research project.

Ideas Requested: Developing New Data to Illuminate Science and Innovation Policy
NSF has published a
Dear Colleague Letter regarding the Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP) Program. This notice seeks to encourage projects that develop data resources to support research that advances the scientific basis of science and innovation policy. The Letter provides more information about the intentions of the program and invites Early-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) proposals for projects that use, augment, improve or create data on the U.S. science and innovation enterprise.

NIH Important RPPR Notice
For NIH grant recipients who have an upcoming RPPR report, you are encouraged to review the recently released notice regarding the Reporting Instructions for Publications Supported by Shared Resources in Research Performance Progress Reports (RPPR) and Renewal Applications. The notice discusses public access reporting requirements for publications arising from shared resources.

Reminder: 2016 Computational Research Symposium
Friday, April 15th ~ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm ~Science and Education Research Center, Room 116 ~ Event Website
Via presentations and posters, this symposium showcases the breadth of high-performance computing research conducted at Temple University.
 
This event particularly addresses young researchers (faculty, postdocs, students) involved in computational research, and the reception and poster session will provide a great opportunity to network with computational researchers from other disciplines.

 1:30-2:30    Welcome and presentations
 2:30-3:20    Poster session and coffee
 3:20-4:30    Presentations
 4:30-5:30    Poster session and reception
 A detailed program with speakers and talk titles will follow.
 
Call for Posters
To facilitate a lively cross-disciplinary exchange among computational researchers, the event will feature poster sessions. Everybody is invited to bring a research poster (it can be "recycled" from a conference), and put it up before the first break (3:20 PM). Poster boards will be provided. If you will bring a poster, please either (a) register in the webform in the CROO website; or (b) send an email with the poster title to
