Cheesecake, Coffee and Community Safety

All community members are invited for complimentary cheesecake and coffee, and to listen to Gold Bar resident Constable Frey speak on "How to build a safer community and insulate yourself from crime and disorder" at our Annual General meeting.

in the Gold Bar Elementary School library.

Find out what was accomplished in 2015 in your community, and what is planned for 2016. There are 2 vacant executive positions to fill: Secretary and Community Sign, as well as a committee for the ice rink to create. We hope to see you there.

Simply show your current Gold Bar Community League membership card at the front desk. If you don't have a card, you can buy one at Blues Java Bar, or our local TGP.

Enjoy a FREE Hot Beverage

On Tuesday, Apr. 12, with a current Gold Bar community league membership, you may receive a FREE hot beverage (coffee, tea or hot chocolate) at Blues Java between the hours of 7-11am. Please bring your card, or you can use cash to buy one there! This is offered the second Tuesday of every month. There is something for everyone in the Gold Bar community!

Scout Bottle Drive

Please support your 70th Gold Bar Scouts. They will be having their spring bottle drive Saturday, April 23 from 9am – 4 pm, so save up those cans and bottles for them.

I AM A PARENT workshops

Saturday, May 14 from 8:45am – 11:45am Primrose Place Family Resource Center (6311 – 92 Ave)
The morning will include a resource fair plus 2 rounds of workshops about children ages 0 – 6, regarding social and emotional development, brain development and how this is affected by sleep and nutrition, positive discipline and dealing with challenging behaviors, and how movement and literacy are interrelated in brain development. The workshops are geared toward parents, caregivers, early learning teachers, childcare professionals, and those passionate about the early years.

Free childcare provided (limited space is available so register early to avoid disappointment).

A Taste of Camp
@ Gold Bar Community Hall

Does your child want to come to camp, but doesn’t know which theme to try? This camp is perfect for them! They’ll get a taste of all sorts of camp fun. From cooking, dancing, and outdoor adventures, to arts and sports, each child will get the chance to discover what their favorite activity is in this ‘theme for a day’ program. They will even get to end their camp adventure with a fun-filled field trip.

Preschool accepting Registrations

Gold Bar Preschool is a parent cooperative that offers small class sizes located in Gold Bar Elementary School (10525 46 St) We run a child-led curriculum focusing on early literacy, STEM, art, sensory exploration and dramatic play- all in a fun interactive way! We are accepting registration for 3 and 4 year olds. Two sessions are available to attend; M-W-F and T- Th classes running 9:00 - 11:30am.
