Happy April!

2016 is speeding along and I've just returned home from New York for a pit-stop of 90 hours before I turn around and head off again to Chicago and California to teach at the wonderful City Beads and Creative Castle respectively!

March was a busy month but one highlight was joining in with the fun of 'March Meet The Maker' on Instagram and posting (nearly) every day on a set theme and getting to see what other makers, designers and small businesses had to say on the same topic. You can check out what I posted on my Instagram page here (hidden amongst the photos of cocktails!) and the 25,000+ posts from others using the search results here. You don't need an Instagram account to view either of these and I hope you enjoy learning about other designers and discovering more as I did.

Whilst I was away I had a conversation about what my favourite projects I'd designed were, and how they weren't necessarily the ones people thought of when they thought of my beadwork. The conversation spurred me on to run a flash sale on 5 of these projects (see below) and hopefully introduce you to a new project you'll love as much as I do.

So until next month, and lots of exciting new things... best wishes and happy beading

p.s. you can always keep an eye on where I am and what I'm up to using my Instagram page, as linked above, and my Facebook page

My Strawberry Delight set of instructions contain all you need to bead these beautiful, fruity motifs and turn them into individual charms or a necklace.

The 12-page set of instructions fully detail the advanced design that uses Peyote & Herringbone stitch to make 3D, realistic and self-supporting beaded strawberries plus their sepals/ leaves and herringbone stitch to create a vine/ rope to add the finishing touch.

You can purchase the instructions here.

My Lucky Diamond projects use some advanced beading to create reversible diamond shapes, with a centrepiece, that can be used for pendants, charms or earrings as desired and hung in a number of different ways for more versatility.

You can purchase the instructions here.

My Bundles of Bezels instructions began when I wanted a way to bezel different focals but not have to use maths to work out how many beads and rounds I needed!
After a lot of experimentation I devised this method, which I have used for everything from 8mm chatons to 40mm flatback crystals (and many sizes inbetween).

You can purchase the instructions here.

My Rivoli Chain project developed when I wanted to use some rivoli crystals but in a simple way that showcased them without overpowering them with other beads.
The project mixes beading with very easy wirework (and you can download my instructions on making Simple Turned Loops or Opening & Closing Loops for free if you need some wirework help) and you can play with the design of the components to make a piece of jewellery that's uniquely yours.

The instructions are available here.

My Key to My Heart project was the culmination of many years of experiments & explorations as I worked to develop a lock & key set where the kit would fit into the lock.
This is an advanced project which uses multiple stitches but is worth all the work.

The instructions are available here.
