You will also be able to read about the other events happening, such as a new first aid training course and our permanent Tai Chi classes happening every Tuesday!

This is a FREE programme that will involve qualified instructors helping school children with limited exercise opportunity and those who want to learn more about healthy eating.

Health Promotion Day at South Holland Centre
Saturday 4th June 2016, 10am - 4pm, This will officially be launched early March, but we wanted to give you the heads up!
The Health Promotion Day will feature stands supplied by a range of local healthcare groups. Invitations to GP practices, pharmacies, health centres, community groups, charities and other organisations, offering attendees advice, guidance, support, information and signposting services.
There will be a variety of health experts providing 30 minute talks throughout the day on a wide variety of health-related issues.
The day will culminate in the Health Awards ceremony, which will commence from 3pm. There are four categories: Young Carer of the Year; Volunteer in healthcare; Bravery/in the face of adversity; and Services to sport/exercise. Public nominations for worthy candidates can be made through the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian newspaper and website. A judging panel will decide on a final three for each category before the event, with the winners being announced on the day.

Emergency First Aid at work training course
We shall be running a recognised Emergency First Aid at Work 1 day course from Tonic Health, date tbc, but before the summer holidays. If anybody is interested, to get in touch - numbers limited to 12, so on a first come first served basis.

Bowel cancer is very treatable but the earlier it is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat. People whose cancer is diagnosed at an early stage have a much higher chance of successful treatment than those whose cancer has become more widespread.
