NWFN is having a SPRING Clothing Swap Thursday, April 28th at 7pm
Our winter clothing swap was such as success we're doing it again! Get on that spring cleaning and clean out those closets. Bring some items you are ready to part with and leave with some new favorite items.

Put on your Dance Shoes for the NWFN Kids Dance Party! Friday, May 6th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm
Calling all families on the Near West Side!! Time to put your dance shoes on!
The Near West Family Network is hosting a family dance party from 6:00 – 8:30 pm on Friday, May 6th in the St. Patrick's Club Ballroom. (3606 Bridge Ave.) There will be pizza, juice, crafts and crazy tunes to get everyone moving! This event is FREE and BYOA (Bring Your Own Adult – no drop offs please)

Birchwood School is Hosting an Open House

Learn more about this high-performing school on the near west side. The morning schedule includes light refreshments, an introductory word from the founders, meeting staff and students, touring the school, and seeing award-winning student work.

Urban Community School is Screening for PreK and Kindergarten

Urban Community School will conduct screening for PreKindergarten on Friday, May 13, and for Kindergarten on Friday, May 20.

Tailspinner's Production of "Golden: A Grimm's Faerie Tale" is Great for Kids!
The Show is running now through April 24th
This Tailspinner Theater production is perfect for anyone with smaller kids with lots of bright colors and not too much dialogue (Mostly physical comedy in the 15th century tradition of Italian Commedia). The show is at Reinberger Auditorium - 5209 Detroit Ave. Tickets and more information about the show on their website.
Near West Rec T-Ball is Starting Soon!
Sign up deadline is May 6th
There are T-ball leagues for children between the ages of 4-12 (T-Ball, Coach Pitch, and Kid Pitch) Each team will have one week night practice and a Saturday game.
Practices start the week of May 23. Games will take place on Saturday mornings and early afternoons from June 4-July 30 (no games July 2nd). Register online today!
